Watch Me Turn 30, by Amy M.
ABOUT THIS SITE
I inherited this site from the lovely Holly P., whom you all know. I'm a photo/sports freak who needed a creative outlet. Thought it would be cool to record my thirtieth year, which will be action-packed!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I'm, Amy, I'm 29, and I call beautiful Brooklyn home. Brooklyn will be featured a lot, so get ready. As will my friends, family, photographers, famous athletes, Asia, and the Caribbean. Not in that order though.

DAY 169  |  July 29, 2005
Oh the things I saw today. G-love desperately wanted to go surfing before work, so we gave it a try. I woke up at 5:30am hating life, but knowing G-love would be at my door in 15minutes. I almost text her saying no, but reconsidered when I saw how beautiful the morning was. We squished into her 1991 Honda Civic, aka Flash, and headed to Rockaway.

So unfortunately Rockaway is still packed with really good surfers on a school day at 7am. The waves were on the big side too. Gulp. Like a wimp, I hung in the white water again, but I actually stood up. Kick ass. Lesson learned today is that you will have to deal with rush hour traffic on the way back. Everything was cool until we hit the Gowanus Expressway. Late for work, nothing new.

After work, we saw my friend Sarah’s Dance Company perform in Soho. The performance was amazing, and I want to go to more modern dance events in the future.

The last piece had me dancing in my seat to Serge’s delight. And since my fellow kindred spirit Dan is in town filled with goofy stories of Mormons and grad school, I stayed out too late. Maybe we will do the same thing tomorrow.
